The home of our Singing With Nightingales season in 2016, this beautiful location in the East Sussex countryside has a thriving population of Nightingales who make this their springtime home. The farm and its associated meadows and coppiced woodlands are a pristine wildlife environment.
The family who have granted us usage of their land proudly state that all but 3 of Sussex's native butterfly species can be found on their land. 40 years of sensitive farming and woodland management have made this a simply idyllic spot as guests on the 2015 & 2016 walks will remember.
Its closeness to Lewes and fast train direct from London to the nearest station of Cooksbridge make this a wonderful site which allowed us many hours of deep listening and memorable times round the fire in 2015 and 2016. All the photos on this website are of this site. Due to sensitivity with the small population of birds and being that this is private land and not public forest we must keep the exact location secret until your ticket has been purchased and instructions are ready to be sent out.
BY CAR: The site is not far from the A23, North-west of Brighton, and is usually under 2 hours journey from London.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Cooksbridge Station is just over an hour direct from London Victoria, with the site a short journey from here.
Unfortunately, public transport links for the return journey late at night are not so strong. If you are interested in pre-booking shared taxi travel after your event, please let us know by checking the box at checkout. Alternatively, we will also be working local partners to provide accommodation. Please let us know at checkout if you are interested in this.
